There are also some foods which are easily digestible which can be included in the daily menu including applesauce, white fish, tofu, coconut water, skinless apple, blueberries, gelatin, chicken, honeydew, plums, papayas, watermelon, white rice, ripe pears, and many more.

There are so many kinds of foods which are digestible which can be enjoyed in the ischemic colitis diet plan. However, people must not forget that there are some foods which should be avoided if they want to recover from the ischemic colitis faster. The foods which should be avoided are not only the food which is hard to digest because people also have to avoid the foods which can be inflammatory and cause gas. There are some foods which can be included in the list such as drinks which are based on caffeine or alcohol, beans, cabbage, broccoli, corn, citrus juice, fried food, horseradish, dairy products with full fat, mashed potatoes, raw vegetables, spicy foods, as well as popcorn.
